Ignition Interlock Devices

We know this can be a stressful time. You've been told you need an ignition interlock device and you're not sure where to start. Schweitzer's Automotive is here to help guide you through the process.

Your first step will be to decide which company you will choose as your "monitoring authority" and from whom you will lease the ignition interlock device equipment. Schweitzer's Automotive currently partners with Intoxalock and Alcohol Detection Systems (ADS). Links to both companies are listed below. For a complete list of companies authorized by the State of Oregon, please visit the Oregon State Police's Ignition Interlock Device Program website link below.

Once you have selected your company, they will work with you to schedule an installation appointment with us. These appointments are usually scheduled 2 to 5 business days in advance, so please don’t wait until the last minute! The equipment will be shipped directly to our service center to be installed on the appointment day.

On the day of your appointment, you will receive training on how to operate the device and all the do's and don'ts to help ensure a successful ignition interlock device experience. We are always here to answer your questions or guide you in the right direction!
